O Senor Don Gato was a cat. On a high red roof Don Gato sat.
He was there to read a letter, (meow, meow, meow)
where the reading light was better, (meow, meow, meow)
'Twas a love-note for Don Gato! "I adore you," wrote the ladycat,
who was fluffy white, and nice and fat.
There was not a sweeter kitty, (meow, meow, meow)
in the country or the city (meow, meow, meow)
and she said she'd wed Don Gato!
O Senor Don Gato jumped with glee! He fell off the roof and broke
his knee,
broke his ribs and all his whiskers,(meow, meow, meow)
and his little solar plexus (meow, meow, meow)
"Ay Caramba!!" cried Don Gato.
All the doctors they came on the run, just to see if something could
be done.
And they held a consultation,(meow, meow, meow)
about how to save their patient, (meow, meow, meow)
how to save Senor Don Gato.
But in spite of everything they tried, poor Senor Don Gato up and
died.
No, it wasn't very merry,(meow, meow, meow)
going to the cemetary,(meow, meow, meow)
for the ending of Don Gato.
But as the the funeral passed the market square,
such a smell of fish was in the air,
though the burial was plated,
(meow, meow, meow)
he became reanimated,
(meow, meow, meow)
he came back to life, Don Gato!

A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And no one can talk to a horse of course
That is, of course, unless the horse is the famous Mister Ed.
Go right to the source and ask the horse
He'll give you the answer that you'll endorse.
He's always on a steady course.
Talk to Mister Ed.
People yakkity-yak the street and waste your time of day
But Mr. Ed will never speak unless he has something to say
A horse is a horse, of course, of course,
And this one'll talk 'til his voice is hoarse.
You never heard of a talking horse?
Well listen to this: "I'm Mister Ed."

Jingle Bells, Batman smells,
Robin laid an egg,
The batmobile lost its wheels,
And Joker got away
"Jingle Bells Batman Smells", written by Steve, a fan of BusSongs.com – thanks Steve!
In Gotham you can hear the sound of Christmas cheer,
But Batman’s found no friends around, no one will come near.
Everybody knows he doesn’t wash his clothes,
With smelly socks and stinky jocks, Batman’s on the nose.
CHORUS
Oh, Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin flew away, Batmobile lost a wheel and the Joker got
away, hey.
Jingle Bells, Batman Smells, Robin flew away, Batmobile lost a wheel, oh Happy Christmas Day.
Batman says “Let’s go.” Robin says “No, no.” -“If you don’t wash your socks by gosh they’re
gonna start to grow”
It’s no dynamic deal, your bouquet lacks appeal,
I can’t abide the smell inside your yuletide batmobile.”
Dashing through the night in three wheeled ‘batmo trike’.
Batman looks for Gotham crooks, the smell will win the fight.
The Joker he then spies, takes him by surprise,
Zap! Kapow! with BO now the Joker chokes and dies.
Santa in a trice arrives with good advice,
“For Christmas Batman from this Fatman, a gallon of Old Spice.”
Rudolf gives a scream, “My nose is turning green.
Can someone try to teach this guy some personal hygiene.”
Batman sees no hope, Dynamic Duo broke,
But back at cave the day is saved, there’s Santa with the soap.
Robin’s got the hose, Santa peg on nose.
They scrub hero from head to toe, he’s smelling like a rose.

Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans and barley grow?
First the farmer sows his seed,
Stands errect and takes his ease,
Stomps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his land.
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans and barley grow?
Next the farmer waters his seed,
Stands errect and takes his ease,
Stomps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his land.
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow, Oats, peas, beans and barley grow, Oats,
peas, beans and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know
How oats, peas, beans and barley grow?
Then the farmer hoes the weeds,
Stands errect and takes his ease,
Stomps his foot and claps his hands,
And turns around to view his land.
Oats, peas, beans and barley grow, Oats, peas, beans and barley grow, Oats,
peas, beans and barley grow,
Can you or I or anyone know How oats, peas, beans and barley grow?

Be Kind to Your Web-footed Friends
Be kind to your web-footed friends
For that duck may be somebody's
mother,
She lives in a nest in a swamp*
Where the weather is always damp.
You may think that this is the end,
Well it is, but to prove we're all liars,
We're going to sing it again,
Only this time we'll sing a little higher.
Repeat the song, singing it a little
higher. Sing it as many times as you
can stand.
Finally, end the song with:
You may think that this is the end....
Well you're right!
Bill Grogan's Goat Echo Song
Bill Grogan's goat
Was feeling fine,
Ate six red shirts
Right off the line.
Bill took a stick,
Gave him a whack,
And tied him to
The railroad track.
The whistle blew,
The train drew nigh,
Bill Grogan's goat
Was doomed to die.
He gave three groans
Of awful pain,
Coughed up the shirts
And flagged the train.
Sean buenos para sus amigos de pies
palmeados,
Que esta pata tal vez es la madre de
alguien,
Vive en un nido en un pantano
Donde el tiempo siempre está
húmedo.
Piensan quizá que esto es el fin,
Sí lo es, pero para probar que todos
somos mentirosos,
Vamos a cantarla otra vez,
Pero esta vez cantaremos un poco
más alto.
Repetir la canción cantándola un poco
más alto. Cantarla cuantas veces
puedan lograrlo.
Finalmente, acabar la canción con:
Piensan quizá que esto es el fin,
¡Pues, tienen razón!
Billy Boy Folk Song
D A7 D Oh, where have you been,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
Oh, where have you been,
Charming Billy?
I have been to seek a wife,
She's the joy of my life,
She's a young thing
And cannot leave her mother.
Did she ask you to come in,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
Did she ask you to come in,
Charming Billy?
Yes, she asked me to come in,
There's a dimple in her chin.
She's a young thing
And cannot leave her mother.
Can she make a cherry pie,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
Can she make a cherry pie,
Charming Billy?
She can make a cherry pie,
Quick as a cat can wink an eye,
She's a young thing
And cannot leave her mother.
How old is she,
Billy Boy, Billy Boy?
How old is she,
Charming Billy?
Three times six and four times seven,
Twenty-eight and eleven,
She's a young thing
And cannot leave her mother.

On top of spaghetti, All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball, When somebody sneezed.
It rolled off the table,And on to the floor,
And then my poor meatball, Rolled out of the door.
It rolled in the garden,And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,Was nothing but mush.
The mush was as tastyAs tasty could be,
And then the next summer, It grew into a tree.
The tree was all covered,All covered with moss,
And on it grew meatballs,And tomato sauce.
So if you eat spaghetti,All covered with cheese,
Hold on to your meatball,Whenever you sneeze.

Tune: "Joy in My Heart"
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
Up in my head,
Up in my head,
Up in my head,
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
Up in my head,
Up in my head to stay.
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
Deep in my heart

I've got that Scouting
spirit,
Down in my feet
continue as in first verse
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
All over me
continue as in first verse
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
Up in my head,
Deep in my heart,
Down in my feet,
I've got that Scouting
spirit,
All over me,,
All over me to stay.
Michael Finnigan,
(this is a great traditional Irish pub song that has
been around for many years)
G D7 G
There once was an old man called Michael
Finnigan,
He grew whiskers on his chin again
The wind blew up and blew them in again,
D7 G Poor old Michael Finnigan –
Begin again
There was an old man called Michael Finnigan,
He kicked up an awful din again
Because they said he must not sing again
Poor old Michael Finnigan, begin again
G There was an old man called Michael Finnigan,
D7 He went fishing with a pin again,
G Caught a fish but dropped it in again,
D7 G Poor old Michael Finnigan,
begin again
There once was a man called Michael Finnigan,
Climbed a tree and barked his shin again,
Tore off yards and yards of skin again,
Poor old Michael Finnigan, begin again
G There once was a man called Michael
Finnigan,
D7 He grew fat and he grew thin again,
G then he died we have to begin again
D7 G Poor old Michael Finnigan ------

I lost my poor meatball, When somebody
sneezed.
It rolled off the table,And on to the floor,
And then my poor meatball, Rolled out of the

It rolled in the garden,And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,Was nothing but

The mush was as tastyAs tasty could be,
And then the next summer, It grew into a
tree.
The tree was all covered,All covered with

And on it grew meatballs,And tomato sauce.

Wisconsinite (at age 18 just now), and
that was one of my favorite countingout
rhymes. We put our feet in a
circle and used that chant (and
several others) to choose who would

seek. However, our version went a bit
differently, and I thought you might

Diana Joy Leonard sang this song while
growing up. She wrote me "I was born in
1982 and grew up in NYC... This song replaces
'eenie meenie miney moe' for making
'decisions', i.e. point to one of the options for
each word until you get to the end."
Another New Yorker wrote: "...growing up in
NYC, queens to be specific, my sisters and I
used to sing this song as a hand clapping
game, with the following additional verses..."
Eenie meenie sicileeny, Ooh ah zambalini,
Achi cachi Liberache,
I love you,
Take a peach, Take a plum,
Take a stick of bubble gum,
No peach, No plum,
No stick of bubble gum.
I saw you last night with your boyfriend
How do you know
I was peaking through the key hole
Nosy
I didn't wash the dishes
Lazy
I didn't wash up
Funky
I jumped out the window
You must be crazy
That's why they call me...
Eenie meenie sicileeny,
Ooh ah zambalini,
Achi cachi Liberache,
I love you,
Take a peach,
Take a plum,
Take a stick of bubble gum,
No peach, No plum, No stick of bubble gum.

Bug Juice
Tune: On Top of Old Smokey
submitted by Karen Glassman
At the camp with the Boy/Girl Scouts,
They gave us a drink.
We thought it was kool-aid,
because it was pink.
But the thing that they told us,
would've grossed out a moose,
For that great tasting pink drink,
was really bug juice.
It looked fresh and fruity,
like tasty kool-aids,
But the bugs that were in it,
were murdered with Raid.
We drank it by gallons,
we drank it by tons,
And the next morning,
we all had the runs.
So the next time you drink bug juice,
and a fly drives you mad,
He's just getting even,
'Cause you swallowed his Dad'.

And the next morning, we all had the runs.
So the next time you drink bug juice, and a fly drives you mad,
He's just getting even, 'Cause you swallowed his Dad'.

L-A-T-R-I-N-E
That is where I long to be,
Rather than in fields of corn,
In bushes or in shrubbery.
L-A-T-R-I-N-E
That's the place for me to be,
I sit upon the broken seat,
And try to keep my blue jeans neat.
L-A-T-R-I-N-E
That is where they have T.P.
Rather than a dirty leaf,
What a way to find relief.

joins the middle. On "Fancy meeting you..." the person who was just pulled
into the circle shakes hands with the person who brought him there.

\ Here is Cats in the Cradle as I found it in Nevada. There are some pretty weird
chords in it and I don't know what they are. Could someone post
them or mail
them to me? It is much appreciated.
Is there a list somewhere
of weird chords?
Thanks

IMHO, this is a better version that the simplified version that
was/is on

TAB: each space represents an eigth note
The music says CAPO 8 (key of F) but I usually play it CAPO 5 (key
of D),
since that's in my range.

I tell you

When I come
